Why I’m Running for Sunrise City Commissioner, Seat C
I’m running for Sunrise City Commissioner, Seat C because Sunrise is more than where I live—it’s my family and my home of over 10 years, where I help raise my grandchildren. I’ve served as an auxiliary police officer in New York City, worked with at-risk youth through dance, and completed the Sunrise Citizen Police Academy, always focusing on safety, trust, and community. As a woman of God, a proud Puerto Rican and Dominican woman, a wife, mother of four, and grandmother of six (with one more on the way), my faith and family guide my commitment to serve. I’m dedicated to honest, transparent leadership that keeps our neighborhoods safe, supports seniors, lifts up small businesses, and ensures every Sunrise resident feels heard and belongs.
She believes in a Sunrise where:
- Our neighborhoods are safe and well-maintained.
- Seniors feel valued
- Families have access to quality city services.
- Small businesses have room to grow and thrive.
And where every resident—regardless of age, income, or background—feels heard, respected, and included.
